I would like to thank the Ocean Grove Brigade for their support in organising what I believe was the appropriate send off for a good man. As a colleague and work mate of Bob's I have personnally found it difficult realising the "Big Fella's" actually gone. His big laugh and character will be sadly missed in our lives. He was a good friend, a gentle man that looked after his fellow man and always had time for his mates.
As a said in my component of the eulogy a person never dies until their name is spoken for the last time on earth, so it is up to us to keep his memory alive. I know the OGFB members will do it tough but it will get easier as time goes on. Hang in their guys and continue your good work in the community as "Smithy" would have wanted and expected.

Bob,
Did you know there's a Fire Brigade in Heaven?
They've got the biggest, reddest fire trucks you ever saw,
And they keep them all cleaned and ready,
Just in case they get a call.
Of course they don't get too many,
Being in Heaven and all.
But God knew this, so right next to them he made,
A great big tree, that puts out a lot of shade.
And each day they have at least one run,
Down the streets of Heaven, leading the afternoon parade.
Enjoy.
Love always Kellie, Wayde and Pepa xxx
Bobby, I can’t believe you have gone. Thank you for being part of the Geerings family. I will miss your big hugs and will never forget you.
