Fire Extinguishers  | WaterUsed for fires involving wood, paper, and plastics. It is dangerous to use these on flammable liquid, electrical equipment, cooking oil and fat fires. |  | Dry ChemicalABE Powder Used for fires involving wood, paper, plastic, flammable and combustible liquids but not cooking oils or fats. Also can be used for flammable gases and electrical equipment. BE Powder Useful for fires involving flammable and combustible liquids, flammable gases and electrical equipment. |  | Wet ChemicalUsed for fires involving wood, paper, plastics, cooking oils and fats. It is dangerous to use on electrical equipment.

Fire Hoses & Reels | Fire Hose
Extends 30 metres with a diameter of either 64 or 38 mm. The hose is connected to a fire main system via a hydrant (often refered to as 'millcock') and a nozzle is attached to the end of the hose that enables the operator to control the direction of water onto the fire. |  | Hose Reel
Usually found in buildings over 500 square metres and special risk locations such as schools, hotels, hospitals, car parks, warehouses and workshops, factories, theatres and concert halls. Extends 36 metres and is connected to main water supply. |
Fire Blankets | Multiple sizes.Fire blankets are made out of fire resistant fabric and are used to smother flames caused through cooking or clothing fires. They should be located in the kitchen (away from the stove), preferably between the stove and the kitchen exit. Once used in a fire they must be replaced. |
MaintenanceThe brigade specialises in the maintenance of portable fire equipment to meet Australian Standard 1851.1 (2005). Your business premises will have a requirement, through the Building Code of Australia, to have a portable fire equipment maintenance process in place which meets the Australian standards.
